Relevant and effective support

All Next Link Domestic Abuse Services come under the umbrella of Missing Link.
In 1999 Bristol Next Link was commissioned by Bristol City Council to provide the domestic abuse services for women and children in the city. Since then the services have expanded beyond Bristol into South Gloucestershire.
In 2016 we were recommissioned by Bristol City Council to provide the domestic abuse services in the city. In 2017 we were commissioned by South Gloucester to provide the domestic abuse services across the county.

Services we offer

Next Link North Somerset provide support services for anyone (women, men, children) who has been the victim of domestic abuse. Our services include telephone help and advice, safe houses, community outreach services and group programmes.

Referrals are all made by telephone. At the telephone stage callers are asked about their situation, the number of children they have with them, what areas are unsafe for them and whether they want a safe house, or the resettlement/ tenancy sustainment service. We also carry out a DASH Risk assessment and if appropriate refer to the DV MARAC.
