Volunteers are highly valued as part of our organisation, they bring energy, enthusiasm and wide ranging skills to build the capacity in our services. Women with lived experience bring a vital understanding and extra dimension to our work and what we can achieve. Without volunteers, some of our most important and effective services would not be able to operate.

Ongoing training and support is provided for all of our voluntary roles.

Female Children’s Play Worker Volunteers

Do you want to make a positive difference to the lives of children and families who have experienced domestic abuse?

We are looking for empathetic, reliable and patient volunteers to organise and deliver play sessions for children living in our safe houses. Your support will allow the children to engage with the service, in turn contributing to their physical, emotional and mental wellbeing.

This is a fantastic opportunity for people who would like to gain an understanding of domestic abuse services whilst having fun with and supporting children.

Female Reception Volunteers

We are looking for empathetic, organised and reliable women to be the first point of contact for visitors to our office in Queen Square. You will play an important part in creating a friendly and professional welcome to our guests and visitors.
